Rob Dibble Tells Stephen Strasburg To Suck it Up-Strasburg Needs Tommy John Surgery

Rob Dibble said on Sirius XM Radio that "You can't have the cavalry come in and save your butt every time you feel a little stiff shoulder, sore elbow."  He told him to suck it up.  He said this about Stephen Strasburg who now needs Tommy John surgery for a torn ligament.

People made comments about J.R. Richard of the Houston Astros in 1979-1980 when he complained of not feeling well and took himself out of games.   J.R. Richard who was on pace to end up in the Hall of Fame had a stroke.  He tried to make a comeback but had to retire.

Rob Dibble and anyone else should realize that we are all different and all have different pain levels.  We all can't be as tough as Rob Dibble.  Someone may look fine but they can be sick.  By Rob Dibble's way of thinking Jon Lester of the Red Sox should have pitched while going through chemotherapy.

Its okay to criticize a player for a poor performance but remember you are talking about a human being and he still deserves respect and the benefit of the doubt.   We all go to work and many people are great workers who let nothing bother them and others get all stressed out when there is a new project or are being observed.

Rob Dibble should think about how other's feel before he tries to make a name for himself with outlandish and mistaken statements.
