In 2010 Topps Series 1 there are Topps Million Card Give Away cards that have a code that you can redeem online at http://www.toppsmillion.com/ to get a card that was possibly thrown out by your mother.
In my case it was my father who threw out the cards. He was moving and I was in my early 20s. I had at least 50 each of Mantle, Mays and Aaron as well as other stars of the time period. I could not get out of work that day and I asked him to take them to his new apartment and I would retrieve them over the weekend. He said, No Problem! Well, it must have been a problem because when I arrived at his new apartment over the weekend they weren't there and I no longer had the cards that I had cherished. They were lost forever. In my case it was my father Who Threw Out My Cards!
In my case my mother told me to keep the cards.For years I was taking them from place to place in a brown paper bag.
ReplyDeleteOne day a friend of mine had a Beckett price guide.He showed me the prices,then we went through my cards and pulled out the good ones.
I've been buying cards ever since,I love it.
