The Curse of Willie Randolph and Bad Karma for the Mets

Omar Minaya ended Willie Randolph's Managerial status with the Mets on the west coast in the wee hours of the morning. It was a poor way to treat a loyal and deciated employee. Anyone who has ever worked for a living should have been upset when it happened. Could you imagine your boss asking you to go to work on Christmas Eve and firing you? Well, that was the same type of thing that Omar Minaya did.

Well, its coming back to haunt the Mets in the curse of Willie Randolph. Last year once again odd things happened and they didn't make the playoffs. Then this year injuries have happened to every major player including Delgado, Beltran, Reyes, Wright and Santana.

Jerry Manuel it has been suggested was talking behind Willie Randolph's back and bad mouthing him in an attempt to get his job when he was supposed to be a friend.

Tony Bernazard was finally fired by Omar Minaya after turning players against Willie Randolph and Jerry Manuel as well. He also fought with too many people before his termination.

Omar Minaya and the Wilpons who were ripped off by Bernie Madoff have shown that they have no idea how to treat people with respect. They have created bad karma and the curse of Willie Randolph. The curse could be here as long as they are here. Will the Mets suffer as long as Cubs fans?

  1. I completely, wholeheartedly, agree with your sentiments....bad karma has struck the Mets team via your Willie Randolph curse. Woe be unto Mets' fans if they suffer as long as the Cubs' drought has lasted. Thanks for reminding us of what brought this down upon the Mets' heads, and although I'm not usually superstitious, it seems a very fitting "call".
