Mayor Bloomberg and the Yankees Destroy History


New York City and the New York Yankees have reached a deal so that memorabilia from the stadium can be sold.

At one point there was discussion of making the old Yankee Stadium into a museum and that would have been appropriate with all the history that has happened there. However, in the wisdom of the Yankees and New York City it has been torn apart. If it was for low income housing I could live with it but it probably won't be used for that as its not the way of Mayor Bloomberg who is attempting to make New York a place where only the extremely wealthy can reside.

It is a sad day for the collectibles market when such a piece of history has been destroyed and sold off in pieces.
